The dawn of the crooked Kautilyas.....

Facts are stranger than fiction,as has been said by someone.

Today from out of nowhere,the name Kautilya chimed in mah mind........For those whose history is as poor as mine let me remind you that Kautilya, Chanakya or Vishnugupta,by whatever name you call him, is considered as one of the most able politician and minister in the Indian history.He was a philosopher and a statesman of outstanding class and his classic compilation on material success and polity- 'Arthasashtra' is valued even today!!!whew....enough of History isnt it

Well coming to point straight away,I fantasized that the modern era can be called an era of crooked Kautilyas,and while i say so it is no exaggeration by any means.

The way the political parties in India stoop to any low to politicise each and everything,just to make their narrow ends meet shows the height of crooked 'politicism'........The Satyam scam where creative accounting was resorted to for duping investors and the public at large shows the height of crooked 'strategies' by a company......................... and the recession going throughout the world is nothing but a result of crooked 'economism' perpetuated by the West and the MNCs.........On religious grounds all the sects,not to single out any of them are fighting against each other showing the crooked 'religious ploys' ........and even on individual front the crooked 'materialism and selfish' nature has preoccupied all of us.....

I bet ,if Kautilya was alive he too would have bowed head against these perpetrators as an ode to their duping n cunniving skills.You would have heard that History repeats itself,but here the History has been relegated to the ground....

So where is the country heading after all ?..............Well, its in our hands after all,and who we are???............the crooked Kautilyas in making???Its we who have to make a choice.......

Well safal...."Kautilya" ka to pata nahi par agar "Ghalib" hote to wo iss Crooked Kautilya par kuch aisa likhte.....

Ever since the first life form appeared,as Charles darwin puts it, survival for the fittest has been the mantra for every being on planet, and humans are no exception. Though initially it was just the food we sought, now its the desire of materialistic things that has made humans more articulate, conniving etc.

In the times of chanakya too there have been numerous incidence of disputes, murders and killings over gaining power. Chanakya, who was the master of the arthshatra, enlightened us with his famous phrase in his koot niti "saam daam dand bhed". he even said that a person shouldnt be too honest since the straight trees are cut first and the honest is duped first.
he believed in caste system since he was quoted as saying "dhol ganwar shudra pashu nari, yeh sabhi tadan ke adhikari"

Chankaya was not perfect!

Chanakya was PRACTICAL!

MY point is that though there is a gap of several thousand years between his existence and ours, situation isnt different.therefore, If he were born in this century, Instead of bowing his head he would have taught the masses how to deal with the present "standards" of corruption.(as he did earlier).
Surely we would have been the luckier lot!!
