Eternal paradox

I have always been an avid believer of the fact that under any circumstances your relationship is bigger than ur ego.

Couple of days back, some one close to my heart left me astounded when she said I didn’t give her much independence and she felt suffocated. I was mystified whether it was possessiveness or just over protection. She may be right,I thought.

A huge fight followed with a lot of verbatisms exchanged and we went to sleep with a bitter pill swallowed.

Next day to transform my frame of mind, I went to meet an old pal of mine. She was all alone in this city ,and migrated to the city in search of a better career prospect. During her off conversations she just referred to the fact that she was going to bars ,drinking to fight her loneliness…..She added that she thought she was way too much independent and just wished someone could wrap her in his world and restrict her ,someone who could scold her when she went astray!

I could just sense a tear dropping from my eyes for reasons obvious….Two persons two different versions for independence.

One cribs coz she doesn’t have it and the other coz she yearns to have it.

I held back my sentiments…

Life undeniably offers so much to us to learn. Depends on us we realise it or not. Life Is all about twist of fate or through incidents termed as experiences

I love wat u write .. always!! in fact u inspire me to write too.. :-)
I can totally understand dis situation.. nd corelate too.. m amazed why u cudnt conclude it to "WOMEN CAN NEVER BE HAPPY. A HAPPY WOMEN IS A MYTH" ;-)
On a serious note .. i feel i ve been thru both of these feelings a lot of times in my lyf .. nd in d end i understand dat each ones perspective of being independent is relative.. it is weighed in relation to wat people around dem r doing .. nd dats wat makes one forever unsatisfied nd unhappy.. Happiness, independence, success, fame occur to everyone .. few acknowledge dem coz most weigh dem based on theory of relativity.. "she goes to discs so she is independent nd i m not" , "she wears such clothes, i dont" no matter how happy nd blessed u r to have parents nd sisters who go wid u shopping for hours buying indian dresses for u..
Its just a state of mind!!
The best comment i would have ever had....Superbly blended with theory of relativity :)....Independence is certainly a state of mind....Agreed..

Again a nice one from your pen. You have made me think for few moments. This is something i never gave a thought...to the two different aspects. Normally the definition of independence vary from person to person. You described the most common aspects, which rarely took anyone's attention. Very well done !!!
